TRUST AND SAFETY

Trust & Safety

How JobRena verifies employers, protects candidate data and handles reports of fraudulent or abusive recruitment.

A recruiter and candidate meeting openly in a transparent office
JobRena is free for candidates.

No employer, recruiter or agency on JobRena may charge you to apply, to be interviewed, for training as a condition of employment, or to receive an offer. If you are asked for money, report it and do not pay.

Employer verification

Employer verification

Organisations that want a verified badge submit registration documents and a named contact, which our country administrators review before approval.

  • Registration or incorporation evidence is checked against the organisation name used on the platform.
  • A verified badge appears on the Career Hub and on every opportunity that organisation publishes.
  • Verification can be suspended or withdrawn if an organisation breaches our policies.

Reporting a fraudulent opportunity

Report anything that looks like a scam, even if you are not certain. Reports are reviewed by the country moderation team and listings can be suspended while an investigation runs.

  • A request for payment, a deposit, or the purchase of equipment or training.
  • An offer made without any interview or assessment.
  • Requests for bank details, identity documents or passwords before a written offer.
  • Contact from a personal email address claiming to represent a known organisation.

Candidate privacy

Candidate privacy

Your career profile is yours. You control what employers can see and you can withdraw it at any time.

  • Location, contact details, documents and individual profile sections can each be hidden from search.
  • Employers see the application you submit; browsing your profile does not disclose your contact details unless you allow it.
  • You may request export or deletion of your data at any time.

Recruitment fee policy

Employers and licensed agencies pay for their use of JobRena. Candidates do not.

  • Charging candidates a fee of any kind is grounds for removal from the platform.
  • Legitimate costs such as statutory medical checks are disclosed before an offer and are never paid to a recruiter personally.

Suspicious communication

Keep early conversations on channels you can verify, and confirm the identity of anyone contacting you about a JobRena listing.

  • Check that email addresses use the organisation domain shown on its Career Hub.
  • Be cautious about interviews conducted only through consumer messaging apps.
  • Never share passwords, one-time codes or full banking credentials with a recruiter.

Disputes and escalation

If something goes wrong during a recruitment process, we will investigate and act on the platform, and point you to the relevant local authority where a matter falls outside it.

  1. Raise the issue with the organisation through the application thread so there is a record.
  2. Report it to JobRena with any evidence you hold; we acknowledge reports and review them in the relevant market.
  3. Where a matter involves fraud or a criminal offence, we will support a report to the appropriate local authority.
